Description

LIDAR in the Pines HD is a colorful map of Southern New Jersey featuring shaded 3d terrain processed to reveal subtle changes in elevation that aren’t normally visible in other maps of this flat coastal region. 1-meter LIDAR imagery of the New Jersey Pinelands is used where available while other parts of the map use 3-meter LIDAR. This map is an enhanced version of the original 2018 map that includes full coverage at zoom level 17 (the original map only had level 16 coverage for areas with 3-meter LIDAR). A 1,000-foot grid of spot elevations is displayed at zoom level 16 on this map, and a 500-foot elevation grid is shown at zoom level 17 (in areas where 1-meter LIDAR data was available).
