1999 in the Pines

Seamless map of Southern New Jersey from high quality scans of ninety four 7.5 minute quadrangles from the USGS Historical Topographic Map Collection. These are the final versions of the classic USGS 24k topo maps that were discontinued about 20 years ago but are still considered the “gold standard” by many. The newest version of each quadrangle was downloaded from the USGS archives, cropped, color corrected and joined by the author to create seamless map with zoom level 16 detail (most versions of the USGS 24k topo maps available online only offer zoom level 15 detail).
