Understanding and using the map menu
Maps are grouped according to their source, and when you first arrive at the site, the menu will be collapsed except for the group that contains the map you’re currently viewing . You can customize the menu by expanding/collapsing the groups you want. For even more customization, see the section on the Favorite Maps menu.
Since maps have different coverage areas, you may see a blank screen when you switch maps. If this happens, click the the button with the bullseye symbol to center the new map.
The site only covers the mid-Atlantic area; if you try to move the map beyond its invisible boundary, it will bounce back. If you are trying to view an area near the boundary (such as Northern New York), you may need to zoom in to prevent the map from bouncing back.
